WEIGHT

TAL BOND is a liquid latex-based additive for cementitious powder adhesives and grout and is used to improve water resistance as well as bond strength and flexibility of the product when used as a total water replacement in cementitious adhesive and grout mixes.

APPLICATION TAL BOND should be used in place of water in cementitious powder adhesives and grout in the following applications: areas subjected to thermal stresses, exterior and/or exposed areas, high traffic areas, flexible backgrounds, swimming pools, showers, all permanently wet areas, cold-rooms, and areas where temperature changes are expected.

MIXING Replace the water fraction in the adhesive and grout mix with TAL BOND. (Refer to adhesive and grout packaging instructions for correct mix ratios.) Any water added to TAL BOND dilutes the polymer and will weaken the mix strength. Always add the cementitious adhesive or grout to TAL BOND while mixing, and mix until a smooth, lump-free paste is obtained. (Note that the grout color may become slightly darker with the addition of TAL BOND.)

CLEANING Wipe the area with a DAMP (not wet) sponge before the adhesive or grout has dried. (See manufacturer’s instructions for drying times.) Clean tools with water before the product dries.
